    Dear James Dashner,

I will never underestimate a book again. From The Maze Runner to The Death Cure, I could never put down your books. Your books got a ten out of ten for me against all odds. I never expected your books to be this marvelous. The characters in your stories come to life from your words. I just recently read The Scorch Trails, which was a work of art. Thomas was a deep and well developed character. Usually when I read, I have to fill some parts of the story in with my imagination, but in this book, there were almost no holes and I could vividly see the characters and the scenes in my mind. One of the best parts of the book was the fact that I could relate to the characters in many ways. This helped me know what exactly was going through the characters’ mind when any problem arose and he/she had to make hard choices. The books much more enjoyable to me do to the fact that most of the characters were around my age group.
Whenever you feel pressured you have a tendency to do crazy things, and this is what happens to Thomas countless times in the book. I know how this feels first hand. Being the type of person who tries to live life on the edge, I knew exactly how Thomas would react to pressure situations where he has to act to keep himself alive. It is this type of stuff that gives me the motive to read further, seek the truth, and enjoy the book cover to cover. I can hardly believe how amazingly alike Thomas and I are, it’s as if we used to be brothers or something. We both can compete in levels higher than most, academically and physically, we both can find the quickest solution out of tough situations, and we know that there are people that are more valuable than we are. With these similarities with me and the Thomas in place, the book flowed smoothly and quickly. I understood the big picture quickly, and could make sense of all of deeper meanings of the book. People like me will find many relations and links to the book, and will benefit from this book significantly.
I think your books are some of the greatest I have read. The characters are well developed and speak for themselves. I can almost imagine a world where the Flare has taken over the entire world. This idea sparks imagination in my thoughts. What if this, what if that… The list goes on without an end. I love the way you can make stuff up like that. Where did you get the inspiration to write this series? I would love to know whom you base the characters on. These characters were one of a kind. I cannot imagine where you get the idea to make such dynamic characters. These big details are what make your story so great and different from other stories.
I appreciate you writing this story for all the readers out there. I cannot wait to read The 13th Reality; it looks like a great series. I would love it if you could find some space in your hectic schedule to write an autographed letter back to me. I would like to thank to for spending your time writing such great novels and for taking time out of your very busy schedule to read this letter.

    Sincerely,
    Akshar Patel
